Jishoji Temple (Daigado)

There is a permanent exhibition of 47 paintings and calligraphy by Ike Taiga, who is known as one of the three greatest painters in Japan along with Sesshu and Korin (46 of which are designated as important cultural properties by the prefecture).
This is the only temple in Japan that has such a large permanent exhibition of Ike Taiga's paintings and calligraphy. In addition, many temple treasures are on display on the first floor. In addition, within the temple grounds, there is the grave (monument) of Tahara Jun, who is said to be the father of Pacemaker, and Okakoiyama (prefecturally designated), a castle built by Kuroda Kanbei.
