It is 19.3m long, 13m wide, 57.3m in circumference, and large enough to fit 152 tatami mats, making it the largest stone stage in Japan. If you climb up to the stage, you can enjoy a great view.
It is located about 500 meters west of the forest road below the Hometown Reminiscence Hall "Hachimen Sanso." This is an "iwakura" (place where a god resides) in ancient megalithic worship, and it is said that in the past, kagura dance was offered to Yanayama Gongen on this stone stage for bountiful harvests, safety of the home, and protection from disease and evil.
