It is a scenic spot representing Yabakei, with huge peaks and strangely shaped rocks such as Ichinomine, Ninomine, Sannomine, Ebisuiwa, Daikokuiwa (Obiiwa), Myokeniwa, Tonoiwa, Tsuriganeiwa, Jinnoiwa, and Hachiojiiwa stretching for about 1 kilometer from the downstream side of the Yamakuni River, and the Ao no Domon cave at its base. Kyoushuho was named by Kinryu Osho of Senso-ji Temple in Edo, who visited in Houreki 13 (1763), but it was introduced to the world through the masterpiece ink painting "Yabakei Zukan" by Rai Sanyo, who visited in 1818.
