The firefly information for the 2026 fiscal year has not been updated.
Please look forward to next year's firefly information.
As of June 18th, 200 fireflies have been confirmed in Tsukinoki, Yamakuni, Nakatsu Yabakei, but they are becoming less visible in many other locations.
The period and number of fireflies that can be seen are influenced by natural factors such as rain and temperature and may vary greatly.
We will be updating the photos and information below from time to time, so we hope you will find it useful when you visit.

Fireflies are active from around 20:00 to 21:00.

・Car travel: It is convenient to use the Buzen IC or Nakatsu IC on the Higashi Kyushu Expressway, or the Hita IC or Kusu IC on the Oita Expressway. (For more information,here）
・Rent-a-car, taxi: These are mainly available at Nakatsu Station. Please contact our association for details.
・Local bus: Departs and arrives at Nakatsu Station. There are about one bus per hour to several buses per day, and some routes are not in operation on weekends or holidays. (For more information, please seehere）
・Regular sightseeing bus "Scenic Yabakei Tour": Operation suspended for the time being. (For details,here）
